Pathways to Potential: Showcasing Skills and Building Inclusive Futures

We were delighted to welcome employers and community partners to our recent Pathways to Potential: Employer Insight Visit at Fresh Futures Post‑16 Provision.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the skills, strengths, and potential of our neurodiverse young people, while highlighting the important role that collaboration with employers plays in creating meaningful pathways into employment.

Guests were welcomed by our Headteacher, Jacqui, who opened the event and set the tone for the day. This was followed by a talk from Catherine, Head of Children and Family Services, who shared insight into the wider work of the charity, including Elevate and the range of support available to young people as they transition beyond Post‑16 and into adulthood.

The visit continued with a guided tour led by Jenni, Head of Post‑16, offering attendees a first‑hand look at our learning environment and approach. Visitors explored our vocational spaces, including the construction and mechanics workshops and our training kitchen, where students develop practical, real‑world skills that support their future aspirations.

Throughout the visit, guests were able to see the confidence, capability, and potential of our learners in action. The experience highlighted how, with the right support and opportunities, neurodiverse young people can thrive and make valuable contributions to the workforce.

Events like this are an important step in strengthening partnerships between education, employers, and the wider community. By working together, we can create more inclusive opportunities and ensure that every young person has access to a meaningful and supported pathway into employment.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and engaging event. We look forward to continuing to build these connections and developing more opportunities for collaboration in the future.
